and have some fun burning your 2009 NCAA basketball tournament
bracket this with BracketBurner. We'll also give you an easy way
to get a printable blank NCAA Tournament bracket in case you need one of
those. We provide links to up-to-date NCAA basketball news on each
team; we show you results that other "BracketBurners" are getting when
they burn their brackets, and much more. So, experiment, have fun
and you might just win your 2009 NCAA Tournament office pool.
Who is Behind it?
BracketBurner was created by four reasonably smart guys (including a PhD
in statistics) who decided it was time to create a free site where
basketball fans can "turn the dials" and automatically generate a NCAA
basketball tournament bracket. The top 65 NCAA teams have played a
lot of basketball games thoughout 2008-2009, and we've collected a
giant database of basketball stats for the entire NCAA season.
We'll crunch all the numbers for you and kick out a full NCAA tournament
bracket based on your preferences!
How Does it Work?
We'll give you several key basketball stats (and some
that are just for fun) to consider. Examples of these basketball
stats are three point percentage, tournament seed, winning percentage
over last five games, "ball handling" ability, and even color of
uniform! You attach a "weight" (priority) to each statistic, then
you click "Burn My Bracket!" Thanks to some really cool
database technology that we developed, you'll quickly see your
completed NCCA tournament bracket that is based on your
preferences and your relative weights. We look forward to your
feedback, and we hope you have a little more fun making this years
picks!"Backtest" Your Slider Settings
Once you've registered (and the feature is released),
you'll be able to "backtest" any set of slider settings against
historical data. Find the magic combination that allows you to
burn your 2009 NCAA Tournament bracket.
